How to customize a status page

Updated October 23, 2026 1 min read

Open the status page and choose the Settings tab. Your changes reach the public page when you choose Save changes.

Look and language

  • Title, Description, Logo URL and your Website.
  • Accent color, used for links, the password button and highlights.
  • Theme: Auto (the visitor’s system), Dark or Light.
  • Language: English, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, German, French, Spanish or Dutch. It translates the page’s own texts and dates; your component names and updates stay as you write them.
  • Announcement: a line at the top of the page. Leave it empty to hide it.
  • Custom CSS on Professional and Business, with stable class names such as .sp-header and .sp-component.

Address and access

  • URL: the part after app.uptimecheck.com/s/. Choosing your own is included from Professional.
  • Project: groups the page with the client or product it belongs to.
  • Published: when off, the public link shows a not-found page.
  • Hide from search engines. Password-protected pages are always hidden.
  • Show Uptimecheck branding: turn it off to remove “Powered by Uptimecheck” from the footer.
  • Password: in the Password card, enter a password and choose Protect page. Visitors then need it to see the page.

Embeds and badges

On the Components tab, the Public page card has:

  • Embed: a status widget for your website. It is invisible while everything works, and shows a small card with a link to the page during an incident or maintenance. Below it is a JSON summary in the same format as Atlassian Statuspage.
  • Badge: an SVG badge with the current status or the uptime over 90 days.
  • QR code for the page address.

Each page also has an Atom feed of its updates. The widget, badge and JSON summary work for published pages without a password. See how to embed a status widget, badge or feed.

Visitors

The Visitors tab shows visits by country, referrer and device, counted without cookies and without storing IP addresses. More on status pages and status page analytics.
