How to organize monitors with projects

Updated October 26, 2026 1 min read

Projects group monitors and status pages per client or product. Agencies usually make one project per client. A project is also what you share with a client, as a dashboard or a report.

Create a project

  1. Open Projects in the sidebar and choose New project.
  2. Enter a Name, such as a client, a brand or a product, and pick a Color.
  3. Choose Create project.

Use it

  • On a monitor’s form, pick the Project. For a status page, choose it on the page’s Settings tab.
  • Select several monitors in the list to move them into a project at once.
  • The project’s color marks its monitors everywhere, and lists and reports can be filtered by project.

Share it with the client

  • Client dashboard (Professional and Business): a read-only login to one project. Use Invite in the Clients column. See client dashboards.
  • Client report: a private link to a live uptime report, emailed on the 1st of each month to the recipients you add. See client reports.
