Uptime alerts in Discord

Outage and recovery alerts in a Discord channel, posted through a channel webhook as embeds that never ping anyone.

14-day free trial · No credit card required

What you get

  • Color-coded embeds

Red for outages, green for recoveries and amber for warnings, with the address, what happened and a link to the incident.

  • No surprise pings

Alerts never mention @everyone or anyone else, whatever text a failing server sends back.

  • No bot to host

A channel webhook is all it takes: create it in the channel’s settings and paste the URL.

  • Only confirmed outages

A failed check is repeated before an incident opens, so a single blip never sends an alert.

How to connect Discord

  1. In Discord, open the channel’s settings, then Integrations › Webhooks › New webhook, and copy the webhook URL.

  2. Open Alert channels in the sidebar and choose Add channel.

  3. Pick Discord and paste the URL into Discord webhook URL.

  4. Choose Add channel, then Send test.

You need the Manage Webhooks permission on the Discord server.

Included on every plan, from Start to Business.

What arrives

  • Outages, once a second check confirms them
  • Recoveries, with how long the monitor was down
  • Slow responses, and when they are fast again
  • TLS certificate and domain expiry reminders
  • DNS record changes and server restarts
  • New broken links, mixed content and page speed drops
  • New problems with a domain’s email setup
  • A test alert whenever you choose Send test

Questions

Do I need to add a bot to my Discord server?

No. Alerts are posted through a webhook on the channel. Anyone with the Manage Webhooks permission can create one in a minute.

Will alerts ping @everyone?

No. Uptimecheck turns mentions off on every alert, so even a monitor name or an error message containing @everyone doesn’t notify anyone.

What if an alert can’t be delivered?

Uptimecheck retries a failed alert five times over about 40 minutes, and stops at once when the service says the address is gone for good. The channel then shows Not delivering with the reason, on the alert channels page and on the monitors that use it. A passing Send test clears it.

Can our status page subscribers follow it here too?

Yes. Visitors of an Uptimecheck status page can follow it in Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord or by webhook, for the whole page or only the components they choose, and get your status updates there.

Is it included on every plan?

Yes. Every alert channel is on every plan, from Start to Business; SMS uses credits (included on Professional and Business, bought packs on Start). Plans differ in how many alert channels you can add: 25 on Start, 75 on Professional and 250 on Business.

Downtime is obsolete.

Set up your first monitor in under a minute, or look around the live demo first.
