Uptime alerts in Slack
Confirmed outages, recoveries and warnings in the Slack channel your team already watches, with an Acknowledge button so everyone sees who is on it.

What you get
-
Acknowledge from Slack
Outage alerts from the Add to Slack app carry Acknowledge and Open incident buttons. A click acknowledges the incident in Uptimecheck, shows who took it and cancels escalation alerts that haven’t gone out yet.
-
Only confirmed outages
A failed check is repeated before an incident opens, so a single blip never sends an alert.
-
Recovery with the downtime
When checks pass again, a recovery follows in the same place with how long the monitor was down.
-
More than up and down
Slow responses, certificate and domain expiry reminders, DNS changes, server restarts, new broken links and page speed drops arrive in the same place.
How to connect Slack
-
Open Alert channels in the sidebar and choose Add channel.
-
Pick Slack, keep or change the Name, and choose When to alert.
-
Choose Add to Slack, sign in to Slack if asked, and pick the channel.
-
Back in Uptimecheck, choose Send test to see how an alert looks.
Rather paste an incoming webhook? Choose Paste an incoming webhook instead and paste it into Slack webhook URL. Alerts then arrive without the Acknowledge button.
Included on every plan, from Start to Business.

Questions
Do I need the Slack app, or is an incoming webhook enough?
Either works for alerts. Only channels added with Add to Slack get the Acknowledge and Open incident buttons, because Slack sends button clicks to an app, not to a pasted incoming webhook.
What happens when someone presses Acknowledge?
The incident is acknowledged in Uptimecheck in that person’s name, the Slack message shows who acknowledged it and when, and escalation alerts that haven’t gone out yet are canceled.
Can different monitors alert different Slack channels?
Yes. Add one alert channel per Slack channel and tick the channels in each monitor’s Alerts card. A default channel is ticked automatically on new monitors.
What if an alert can’t be delivered?
Uptimecheck retries a failed alert five times over about 40 minutes, and stops at once when the service says the address is gone for good. The channel then shows Not delivering with the reason, on the alert channels page and on the monitors that use it. A passing Send test clears it.
Can our status page subscribers follow it here too?
Yes. Visitors of an Uptimecheck status page can follow it in Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord or by webhook, for the whole page or only the components they choose, and get your status updates there.
Is it included on every plan?
Yes. Every alert channel is on every plan, from Start to Business; SMS uses credits (included on Professional and Business, bought packs on Start). Plans differ in how many alert channels you can add: 25 on Start, 75 on Professional and 250 on Business.
