How to connect Push notifications

  1. On each phone or computer, open Account and choose Turn on under Push notifications. On iPhone and iPad, add Uptimecheck to the home screen first.

  2. Open Alert channels in the sidebar and choose Add channel.

  3. Pick Push. Under Who gets them, choose These people and tick them, or Whoever is on call and pick an on-call schedule.

  4. Choose Add channel.

Questions

Do I need to install an app?

No. Uptimecheck works in the browser on your phone. On iPhone and iPad, add it to the home screen, open it from there and turn on push under Account. On Android and computers, turn it on in the browser.

Can push alerts follow an on-call rotation?

Yes. Choose Whoever is on call and pick a schedule. The alert goes to the devices of the person on call at that moment, including overrides for sick days and holidays.

Does it cost anything?

No. Push notifications are free on every plan and use no credits.

Will a recovery leave two notifications?

No. The recovery replaces the outage notification for the same monitor, so the lock screen shows the current state.
