How to connect Telegram alerts

Updated October 16, 2026 1 min read

Telegram is a quick way to get alerts on your phone. Uptimecheck sends them through its own bot, @UptimecheckAlertsBot, so you don’t create a bot or look up IDs.

Connect your own chat

  1. Open Alert channels in the sidebar and choose Add channel.
  2. Pick Telegram.
  3. Choose Open Telegram and press Start in the chat with the bot. The chat ID fills in by itself.
  4. Choose Add channel, then Send test.

Send alerts to a group

Choose Add to a group instead of Open Telegram and pick the group in Telegram. The group fills in the same way.

Good to know

  • The link is valid for a short while. If it expires, choose New link.
  • You can also send /start to @UptimecheckAlertsBot and paste the ID it replies with into Chat ID.

See all alert channels.
