Alert channels decide where Uptimecheck sends incident and recovery notices. Every plan includes email, Slack, Discord, Telegram, Microsoft Teams and webhooks.
You can add more than one channel of each type, for example one Telegram chat for each person on call, and choose per monitor which channels are notified.
Each alert says which monitor failed and since when. A recovery notice with the total downtime follows when the service is back.
Add an alert channel
- Log in to your Uptimecheck account.
- Open Notification handlers and choose Create notification handler.
- Give it a name and pick the type: Email, Webhook, Slack, Discord, Telegram or Microsoft Teams.
- Enter the details, such as an email address, a webhook URL or a Telegram bot token and chat ID.
- Use Test integration to check that it arrives, then choose Create.
- Tick the handler under Notifications on each monitor, heartbeat or domain that should use it.
How many channels each plan allows
Each plan limits how many alert channels of each type you can set up: 25 per type on Start, 75 on Professional and 250 on Business. See the feature comparison for every limit, and alerts and notifications for how alerts work.
