Uptime alerts by email

Clear alert emails to up to 10 addresses per channel: what failed, where it was confirmed, when it started, and a button straight to the incident.

14-day free trial · No credit card required

What you get

  • Subject lines that say it all

“Down: Checkout (HTTP 502)” or “Up: Checkout, back after 7 min”, so the inbox preview is often enough.

  • The facts in the mail

The monitor, the address, the cause, where it was confirmed and when it started, with the date and time in UTC.

  • Up to 10 addresses

Per channel. Add another channel for more people, or one per team.

  • Only confirmed outages

A failed check is repeated before an incident opens, so a single blip never sends an alert.

How to connect Email

  1. Open Alert channels in the sidebar and choose Add channel.

  2. Pick Email and enter the Email addresses, separated by commas.

  3. Under When to alert, keep Right away or let the channel wait.

  4. Choose Add channel, then Send test.

Alerts come from noreply@uptimecheck.com. Add it to your contacts or allow list so they never land in spam.

Included on every plan, from Start to Business.

What arrives

  • Outages, once a second check confirms them
  • Recoveries, with how long the monitor was down
  • Slow responses, and when they are fast again
  • TLS certificate and domain expiry reminders
  • DNS record changes and server restarts
  • New broken links, mixed content and page speed drops
  • New problems with a domain’s email setup
  • A test alert whenever you choose Send test

Questions

Which address do alert emails come from?

From noreply@uptimecheck.com. Allow it in your mail filters so alerts don’t end up in spam or a filtered folder.

How many addresses can one channel have?

Up to 10. Add another email channel for more people, or one per team so each gets only its own monitors.

I’m not getting alert emails. What should I check?

Choose Send test on the channel, look in spam, and allow noreply@uptimecheck.com. If delivery failed, the channel shows Not delivering with the reason the receiving mail server gave.

Is it included on every plan?

Yes. Every alert channel is on every plan, from Start to Business; SMS uses credits (included on Professional and Business, bought packs on Start). Plans differ in how many alert channels you can add: 25 on Start, 75 on Professional and 250 on Business.

Downtime is obsolete.

Set up your first monitor in under a minute, or look around the live demo first.
