How time zones work in Uptimecheck

Updated October 21, 2026 1 min read

There is no time zone setting on your account. The app shows times in the time zone of the device you use, so an incident that started at 03:12 for you says 03:12. If your device changes time zone, the app follows.

Where you choose a time zone

  • Cron jobs: a job on a cron schedule has its own Time zone, the one the server’s crontab runs in, often UTC. Daylight saving is followed. See how to monitor a cron job.
  • On-call schedules: each schedule has a Time zone for when shifts change.

Where it is decided for you

  • Status pages show times in UTC, with the zone written out, so every visitor reads the same clock.
  • Email reports follow the Time zone you pick under Account, Email reports, UTC until you pick one. Client reports use UTC, so a month means the same to everyone who reads it.
