How to delete your workspace or account

Updated October 19, 2026 1 min read

Your monitors, status pages and history live in a workspace. Your personal account, with your name and sign-in, is separate and can belong to several workspaces. Deleting a workspace removes all its projects, monitors, status pages and history. Neither can be undone.

Before you delete

  • Only want to stop paying? Cancel the plan instead. Monitoring pauses when the plan ends, and monitors and history are kept for 30 days.
  • Deleting a workspace with a paid plan cancels its subscription right away, and no more payments are taken. To use the time you have paid for, cancel under Settings, Billing, Manage billing and delete the workspace later.
  • Export what you want to keep. Under Reports, CSV downloads uptime, downtime and incidents per monitor for the period you pick. Under Settings, Audit log, choose Export CSV.
  • Tell your customers if a public status page is going away.

Delete a workspace

  1. Open Settings in the sidebar. You land on General.
  2. Under Danger zone, choose Delete workspace.
  3. Type the workspace name to confirm, then choose Delete workspace.

Only the owner can delete a workspace. Other members see Leave workspace in the same place.

Delete your personal account

  1. Open the menu with your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Account.
  2. Under Delete account, choose Delete account, then Send the link.
  3. Open the email “Confirm deleting your Uptimecheck account” and choose Delete my account. The link works for one hour, on the same device, while you are signed in.

Your profile, sign-ins, devices and workspace memberships are deleted. Workspaces you share with others stay with them. This works the same whether you sign in with a password, an email link, Google or GitHub.

You can’t delete your account while you are the only owner of a workspace; the card names those workspaces. Delete them first, or make another member owner under Settings, Members.
