Self-hosted or hosted
Uptime Kuma is an open-source monitoring tool you install on your own server. It suits people who like to run their own stack. The catch is that a monitor shares the fate of the place it runs: if that server, its network or its power goes, so do your alerts.
Uptimecheck watches your sites from our servers in Stockholm, outside your infrastructure. There is nothing to install, update or back up.
What you get
- Checks every minute, with every failure confirmed by a second check and evidence on each incident
- Multi-step flows for logins, forms and checkouts, optionally in a real browser
- Cron job monitors with crontab schedules, start and finish pings, exit codes and output
- Server monitoring on Linux, macOS and Windows with a small signed agent
- DNS monitoring, SSL certificate and domain expiry reminders, and SPF, DKIM and DMARC checks
- Status pages with subscribers, status updates and scheduled maintenance
- Alerts by email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram, PagerDuty, ntfy, Pushover, webhooks and push notifications
Moving over
Copy the addresses from your Uptime Kuma dashboard and paste them under Monitors › Import, one per line, up to 200 at a time. For cron jobs, create a cron job monitor and add its ping URL to the job. Keep Uptime Kuma running while you compare.
A fair note
We reviewed this page on October 16, 2026. Uptime Kuma is a capable open-source project and changes often; check its current features and compare them with our feature comparison, or look around the live demo.
