Why teams look for a HetrixTools alternative
Teams that watch websites and servers usually end up wanting the rest in the same place too: does checkout still work, did last night’s backup job run, is a DNS record still right, and what do customers read on the status page during an outage?
Uptimecheck puts all of that in one account.
What Uptimecheck covers
- Website and API checks every minute, with every failure confirmed by a second check and evidence on each incident
- Server monitoring on Linux, macOS and Windows: CPU, memory, disk and network, with restart alerts
- Email authentication: SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and your own mail servers looked up on blocklists
- Cron job monitors with crontab schedules, start and finish pings, exit codes and output
- Multi-step flows for logins, forms and checkouts
- SSL certificate and domain expiry reminders, and DNS monitoring with change history
- Status pages with subscribers, status updates and scheduled maintenance
- Alerts by email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram, PagerDuty, webhooks and push notifications on your phone
Switching from HetrixTools
Open Monitors › Import, choose Paste URLs and paste your website addresses, one per line. For each server, add a server monitor and run the install command it shows; the agent reports CPU, memory, disk and network. For mail, add a domain monitor: it checks SPF, DKIM and DMARC and looks up your mail servers on blocklists twice a day.
